who do you reckon - Allardyce or Moyes in at Southampton?

Harsh.

Southampton played so well against Man Utd, and were unlucky not to get all 3 points.

Most obvious outcome ever. Hughes is surely finished as a top league manager.

Never seemed the right fit at Southampton, who imo have pretty much abandoned the solid principles that used to mark them out as an overachiever. I see Les Reed is no longer at the club as technical director. They're a direct competitor so it's good for us I suppose.

Re: Mark Hughes sacked again
Liked him as a player, couldn't stand him as a manager. I know most managers bemoan decisions and come out with excuses but Hughes is the worst.

He's won something like 3 PL games in 21 games for Saints and only kept them up because they beat a poor Swansea side at the end of last season so how the first response on here says it's harsh is laughable.

Another failure, another pay off so don't feel sad for him.

he'll get another job, it's the managerial merry go round

Never liked him, the lower leagues beckon for the Taffy dinosaur, maybe he could rejuvenate Wrexham....

Talk of Allardyce replacing him? Surely that’s like for like?

2 of the most boring managers of all time.

Pardew might be in the frame, he had a 53% win ratio there, the highest of his career.

The only business you get rewarded for being crap. Really feel for people like Alan Devonshire who have done a great job at lower levels but never got the chance higher up.

Paddy O'Neil?

To be fair*, Hughes isn't responsible for the Southampton model of selling their best players, which is being proven to be unsustainable.

*I hate being fair to Hughes
